NGO Forum

About 110 representatives of human rights NGOs and the federal ministries as well as the countries participated in the third NGO Forum of the Austrian Ombudsman Board, which took place on 4 July 2016. The civil society was informed about the current status of work on the National Action Plan "human rights", However, the main theme was "people with disabilities".

In plenary the representation of people with disabilities in the mass media was discussed particularly. In several workshops the attendees discussed subsequently on the following three areas:

- People with disabilities and poverty
- People with disabilities and home / work
- People with disabilities on the run.
